Agreement, Refunds, and Disputes

1. Introduction

Trust Package Includes:

Revocable Living Trust

Pour over will

Advanced Directive (two for married clients)

Durable Financial Power of Attorney (two for married clients)

Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will (two for married clients)

System Access to Your Estate Documents to Make Any Changes Necessary. J. Davenport Legal staff will assist the client with making these changes.

2. Cost & Payment Terms

Total fee is agreed upon with advisor, for this example we will use our standard, baseline pricing of $2,500.
The total fee for the estate planning services is $2,500. payable upon execution of this agreement and before your first SCHEDULED drafting meeting with our legal department.

To provide flexibility, J. Davenport Legal offers the following payment plan options: (a) Full Payment: Pay the total amount upfront via credit card, or ACH. (b) Installment Plan via BNPL Provider: You may choose Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) through our partners Klarna or Afterpay.

With this option:

You agree to the BNPL provider's terms, including 4-24 months (no fees if paid on time; late fees may apply per their policy)

Upon selecting BNPL on the invoice (sent via email link), you will be redirected to Klarna or Afterpay's secure portal to complete setup. Choose your preferred provider at checkout.

All risks of non-payment or disputes are between you and the BNPL provider; J. Davenport Legal is not responsible for any fees or collections.

J. Davenport Legal receives full payment immediately from the BNPL provider.

By selecting BNPL, you acknowledge understanding these terms and agree to release J. Davenport Legal from any related liabilities. If BNPL is unavailable, full payment is required.

You can choose to pay using Klarna. Klarna will provide you with specific payment terms. For further information or questions regarding your payment please visit Klarna’s website.


The Invoice will automatically be emailed to you once you sign this document. Simply click the link in the email to pay your invoice by using any major credit card. If this Invoice is not completed prior to the meeting and it is held, and work on your trust has began the remaining balance will be charged to the card on file used for the deposit.

After completing and executing your estate documents, you can make any changes you like to your documents without any additional charge.

Quitclaim Deeds are free for the first deed, each additional Quitclaim Deed will cost an additional $200 for each property transferred to your trust.

ALL PAYMENTS ARE FINAL

3. Davenport Responsibilities:

To begin the process, we will schedule a convenient date to meet with our legal staff to collect the necessary information to start drafting your documents. You should set aside at least an hour for this zoom meeting.

Davenport is committed to assisting you with the drafting of any Quitclaim Deeds to transfer title of your real estate holdings to your revocable trust. Please send deeds/deed information to [email protected]

Updates mandated by states will be made to trusts at no cost and be supported by J. Davenport Legal in conjunction with the Wealth Inc. System.

4. Client Responsibilities:

Payment for service as outlined above

Review and acceptance of information collected for their Trust.

Funding the Trust as specified with the assets they declare including Real Estate notarized with a Quitclaim Deed.

Feedback communication with Davenport on any issues involving the details in preparation of Plans as documentation is drafted.

5. Terms of Service

The Estate Planner agrees to provide estate planning services to the Client, which may include but are not limited to, drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and any other estate planning documents as agreed upon by the Parties.

Amendments

Any amendments to this Contract must be in writing and signed by both Parties.

Governing Law

This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Connecticut.

Dispute Resolution & Refunds
Any disputes arising under or related to this Contract shall be resolved through mediation. Refund requests will be considered and acted upon by Davenport within 60 days when supported with documentation on the reason for the request. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of State of Connecticut, unless otherwise agreed by the Parties.

Entire Agreement

This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties regarding its subject matter and supersedes all prior discussions, agreements, or understandings of any kind.

Signatures

By signing below, the Parties agree and fully understand the terms and conditions set forth in this Contract and acknowledge the invoice will be sent in a separate email immediately upon completion of this document.
